Clinical Continuity with Referring Professionals PDF Print E-mail

ARC, West Los Angeles  California

In many instances clients of ARC have been engaging in one-on-one work with licensed professionals prior to their arrival at the center. Often the clients primary professional has significantly supported the process of insight and resolution of many of the issues that have contributed to the clients addictive process, but perhaps for reasons of strong physical or psychological dependence, have referred their client to ARC so the addictive process can be interrupted, medically treated and so that a personalized program of sustained recovery can be initiated.

ARC believes that our treatment services should be, wherever possible, coordinated with the clients referring professional. Our treatment philosophy centers on the fact that our treatment services are in addition to, rather than separate from the therapeutic value of the prior insight development that these referring professionals have already helped to create.

Our Program Employs Options for Continuing Therapy Such As:

  • Onsite Sessions
  • Office Sessions (transportation provided by ARC)
  • Telephonic Sessions
  • Webcam Sessions

Additionally, each client’s primary clinician develops a personalized treatment plan based on communication with the referring professional. In some instances, referring professionals may decide that they will reengage with the client upon treatment completion, but in all other cases communication is welcomed before, during and after treatment. Our clinical staff has designated phone hours worked into their daily schedule, to prevent multiple voicemail exchanges and to ensure expedited, effective clinical communication takes place.
