NOTE: All client belongings are thoroughly searched upon arrival at the facility. Although there are items allowed during treatment such as cell phones, computers, and razors, all these items will be held in a secure location to ensure monitored client use only. Clients may only access these items and others at the discretion of their primary counselor. Important Admission Information: - Due to clinical considerations, client phone access is limited during the first 72 hours of treatment. To maintain communication between any concerned parties and ARC, each client has the option of applying a consent to release information to anyone they want the facility to be able to update during this initial period. (Clients may specify the type of information they want relayed and set limitations on the information they want to disclose.) Once this release has been put into place ARC will act on the client’s behalf and alleviate the concern of loved ones through phone updates between the client’s primary clinician and the individuals specified on the release of information forms. When the 72 hours has concluded, clients are welcome to use the personal house phones during designated times to talk with family and friends throughout their treatment stay.
- ARC believes providing a homelike treatment atmosphere and allowing clients to bring personal items that traditional drug treatment centers often restrict, such as computers and books or other belongings that have the potential to be distracting from complete immersion in the treatment process. We believe that with the right mind-set the availability of these types of items are helpful to creating a comfortable, “real-life” treatment environment. However, if clients are experiencing a difficult time focusing their attention on treatment because of a distraction created by these personal items then access will be restricted by the clinical team so that clients can focus fully on their treatment process.
