The ARC Outpatient Treatment Philosophy The ARC clinical team’s treatment philosophy focuses on creating personalized clinical approaches to work within the specific circumstances of each client’s individual belief systems and historical experiences. ARC meets clients where they are currently at versus having clients attempt to fit themselves within a treatment curriculum that doesn’t meet their individual needs. The ARC Outpatient Program Goals and Objectives The primary treatment objectives during Daypatient are aimed at addressing the continuing individual clinical needs of clients suffering from alcoholism, drug addiction or substance abuse and any co-occurring conditions. The primary goal of the Outpatient program is to impart pertinent life skills that will be of assistance to furthering the likelihood of creating and nurturing a successful and sustainable long-term recovery. The treatment curriculum during Outpatient is specialized to provide a safe place for clients to work on identified co-occurring conditions or underlying issues diagnosed during primary care. Wherever possible, treatment is coordinated in clinical continuity with referring professionals. Outpatient is designed as an intensive continuing care program. Even when primary care has been completed and recovery from alcohol and drug abuse issues has been initially established, untreated underlying factors that have contributed to the addictive process often lead clients towards relapse. The purpose of Outpatient is to provide a safe place for these deeper issues to be processed. The ARC treatment philosophy is that these core issues can only effectively be treated once a period of abstinence has provided a platform from which new perspectives and outlooks on life can be obtained. From this “higher ground” clinical support begins to assist clients in seeking resolution for these unresolved issues. During Outpatient, the clinical team creates contingency plans for all the foreseen challenges on the road to recovery ahead. In addition, strong aftercare planning offers placement for each client within a network of supportive clinical services for any unforeseen challenges on their ongoing journey into long-lasting recovery.
