My son Chris is homeless in LA/Ventura now living out of his car. He has had arrests for drug and paraphenalia possesion. He needs help now or will die from this Heroin addiction. This is a long 15+ year problem and the arrests are going to leave him w/o his only safe place to live.
I have some help from his mother who has been in touch with him as of last month and she may be able to help steer him into this program. Can you help? Is money still available?

    • The situation you are in is NOT hopeless, but it will require Chris to be willing to get help. If you have contact with him, ask if he is willing to seek drug treatment. If he is, try calling 1 877 415 4673 to see what the next step would be. If you would like to just give him a referral, provide the following telephone number: 1 310 314 6200. This is to the CLARE Foundation, located in Santa Monica, Caliornia. You can also have him visit the following:

We moved to LA a couple of years ago for my work, and our youngest son will be 21 yrs old next week. We have two years left on our bankruptcy, out financial misfortunes has take a big toll on him. He smokes pot 24 x 7, has no friends, refuses to look for work, and attends community college part time. He is increasingly emotional and violent, so we’d like him to get help before its too late. He tried counseling for a few months, but no change. Is rehab the right place for him?
