ARC, West Los Angeles California
If Primary Care and Continuing Care were thought of as stepping stones across a deep pond, then Extended Care would represent the final step from supplied support to solid ground. Extended Care with ARC is open-ended, which means that clients may choose to stay beyond the program's length of 30 days. Whenever necessary, clients may enroll for additional time and still work on continuing to move their recovery process forward. As each person begins the process of integration into a self-supporting daily routine the ARC Extended Care program helps clients grow from personal challenges by providing clinical support while imparting our staffs' personal recovery experience. Clients can truly begin to become independent as local resources are readily available. Our location in Los Angeles, California is near educational resources, vocational schools and other supportive services including bus lines and grocery stores. During Extended Care, food and transportation are still provided by ARC but little by little personal responsibility is taught and practiced by our clientele. By the time clients leave they are fully equipped to manage a daily recovery routine as fully independent recovering people. Phase 3 (Extended Care) The primary treatment objectives during Phase 3 are aimed at addressing the transitional needs of clients suffering from alcoholism, drug addiction or substance abuse. Phase 3 is designed as an extended care program. During Phase 3 the clinical team supports clients to process the feelings and emotions that surround transition from alcohol and drug rehab. Extended care also helps to implement a supportive network of services for solving the stressors of an independent daily living routine. The extended care program provides transitional support for a variety of individual circumstances as well as for a variety of differing levels of commitment to the recovery process. As a component of enrollment in Phase 3 the clinical team assesses each client to determine what risk factors play a role in their maintaining sustained recovery success. Once these risk factors have been identified a personalized treatment plan is developed to assist each client in furthering their commitment to recovery. Additionally, individual life-goals are identified based on personal passions and interests and a plan of action to achieving these goals is implemented. Vocational and educational placement is a component of the ARC extended care program. Our vicinity and relationships with local colleges and sober employers eases the difficulty of enrollment and/or hiring and helps to instill a sense of purpose on the pathway of recovery. From Phase 3 a foundation into self-supporting recovery is actualized. If you or someone you know needs help with addiction or substance abuse issues call 877 415 HOPE to begin the process today. Credentialed staff will assist you in determining what level of care is needed to provide effective alcohol or drug rehab with ARC or provide you with referrals to receive the help you need.
